At Newbridge, we have the highest expectations for all our pupils. We believe that, with the right support, every young person can succeed — and our most recent results clearly demonstrate this.

Pupils who attend regularly consistently achieve beyond expectations, with excellent outcomes across both academic and vocational pathways.

Core GCSE Subjects
Mathematics
  • 90% of pupils met or exceeded their target grade
  • Excluding those absent from exams, 100% met or exceeded their target
  • Significant improvement from 63% in 2023–24 to 100% in 2024–25
English Language & Literature
  • 86% of pupils met or exceeded their target grade
  • Excluding absentees, 100% met or exceeded target (compared to 69% in 2023–24)
  • Strong individual outcomes including Grade 5, 7 and 8
Combined Science
  • 76% met or exceeded target grades
  • 100% met or exceeded target when absentees are removed
  • A strong increase from 50% in 2023–24

Progress across Maths, English, and Science is now closely aligned in Year 11 and significantly exceeds the national average for SEMH schools.

  • Geography: 100% exceeded target; one pupil gained Grade 4
  • History: Highest grade was Grade 6
Practical Subjects
  • Art: 40% gained Grade 4 or above, including one Grade 7
  • Food Preparation & Nutrition: 100% achieved Grade 4 or above; one Grade 6
Vocational & Level 1 Qualifications
  • Design Technology (ICT Tech Award): 100% exceeded targets
  • Vocational IT Tech Award: 100% exceeded targets
  • Motor Vehicle Studies (Bike Mech): 100% passed Level 1
  • Employability Skills:
    • 100% achieved Level 1
    • 40% met targets; 60% exceeded
Enrichment and Personal Development

Pupils also gained accreditations in:

  • ASDAN Personal Development Level 1 and 2
  • Personal Devleopment and wellbeing PSHE Level 1 and 2
